can anybody help me with sorting the cahnesl into order, is there an easy way to organise the channels to the positions desired

you can use the voxer app here Digital Kaos - Downloads - Tools
upload you channel data via null modem, save it to your pc then open it in voxer. you can now edit your channels and save. then flash back to the box. alternatively use the remote via favourite manager. it takes about 20 minutes. just follow the on screen instructions.
