hi there my mate got internet , phone an tv with vermin but someones told him if he cancels his tv subscription he will still get his tv feed he also has a starview will this still work thanks

better off keeping his tv,if he removes it lower signals may happen and box not function as good.
broadband just needs a lower level of signal to work,but tv needs a stronger signal.

Cactikid, i have no vermin tv contract, do you think this may be the reason why i get constant freezing on the SV6, would it make a noticeable difference to the signal should i purchase the basic tv package?

It could be your problem but sv are not that good anyway I don't mean that rudely but befor u get v m go onto my cable box and get a cable booster it works for me and a few others check signal strange as well

aslong as you have a live feed cuming in your house u are fine with bb i know i have had it for 5 years no paid tv but free tv

thank you for the responses, the s&q bars are near full - 95%,so does that indicate the signal strength is ok & i don't need the cable booster or VM basic tv package,

i presume i have a live feed coming in my house for instance when the pic freezes on the premium channels, there is no interference on the free channels through the SV box or the old virgin box, they seem to work ok all the time...

although i've had the SV6 for less than 4 mths, if it is primarily due to the box's weaknesses i am having problems, i am willing to invest in a krypt, but want to ensure i don't experience the same problems, really doing my nut in!
