Updated advice wanted please - cable tv

Hi hopefully I am not posting in the wrong forum but not sure which one to use. I have Virgin TV with Nag 3 (of course) in the living room and we had an old Starview Box in the bedroom which no longer works (for clarification there is a virgin cable to the bedroom box). Now we can hardly get more than 5 standard channels in the bedroom and its so frustrating. I was thinking of getting a Kryptview box for the bedroom but then seen some threads say other boxes, have also been thinking of changing from Virgin to Sky (as Virgin always losing the broadband signal) but then I was wondering if I get a sat dish would I be better off in the bedroom. As you can guess I have no idea on these things and you guys know so much more than me so I would love to be able to share your experience. Any suggestion on the best way forward - I cant afford to pay more on a monthly basis for a bedroom connection. Thanks

You could use 2 DM500s or similar boxes with sat dish, both boxes would need cable from dish & cable from router. You would pay for 2 server lines, would probably be less than what
you pay on cable at the moment. You would pay no prov subs
with the dish only servers
