Only question you need to ask yourself is do you just want to watch tv or do you want to mess about with your box. Eurovox, Starview and digivox will give you all the channels as will the dreambox but the latter will do much more but requires a bit of techie knowledge to maintan. -
The kryptview box developers have had their updates out before everyone else on each occasion the keys have changed.Comment

I you want to learn a bit more about go with a Dremabox as so there is so much support for them.
Next you will need to decide if you want to have a Hard disk inside to record to instead of having to connect it up to a NAS or PC to store recordings etc
Wehen people normally ask this question they get a lot of answers, but what you must decide first is how much do you want to spend mate?Comment

It wasn't my original question, but I'm in a similar situation.
Looking for one with a HDD (or you can put a HDD in it) for the PVR functionality. WAs hoping around ?140/150 mark, is that feasible? People seem to suggest Dreambox over Eurovox, what are the main differences?
Edit: Dreambox 600 vs Eurovox EX5000 seems to be the question as far as I can see? The open-source/Linux side of Dreambox could mean more flexibility for future if things change in getting channels, but the Eurovox is cheaper and more "plug and play", as I'm buying two, one for me and one for the brother in law.
