No mate, you definately can't advertise, trade or sell stuff here. If anybody sent you a pm after seeing your post then so be it. I understand that fleabay is probably no longer a good place to sell such kit either..

I guess individuals are ok to sell but a few trade sellers seem to have stopped.. Best you check for yourself, but remember to keep some anonymity as VM will probably be interested and sniffing around the transaction as well. Just be cautious mate

Surely, as long as the box he is selling hasnt got firmware on it to recieve subscription channels, vm or anyone else cant do anything? as it isnt illegal to own, buy or sell these boxes (curious)

This is true, but be sure to state that in the product description etc.. Somebody will ask if you can connect it to VM and then what do you say... Its just saying to use caution, i am not sure how i would 'safely' go about it.. Just don't want you to get yourself in any trouble dude..

good point, you couldnt exactly advertise it as "box to rip channels"

we can do without any bad publicity at the moment, most peeps know that most cable receivers have been pulled from ebay.

Ebay is a massive organisation, we are like a small fish compared to ebay, so the chances of us being closed down for advertising/selling put us at a high risk.

I for one don't want to see anyone selling or advertising the sale of cable receivers.

We cant stop people discussing this through PMs or on msn, just please people use some common sense and try to help us keep the forum running cleanly .

and i hope it shows an example to any members who want to advertise on here, by almeans do it in Private, but we must try to keep the forum safe.
