UPC digital recording box

hi there, i have a UPC recording cable box, its the black thomson one.
this box has a USB slot on the back of it, i was wondering is this just for a software update or can i transfer recorded material to a memory stick to watch on another davice...???

Don't think you can copy recordings from box to USB. What you
could do is put scart from box to DVD-recorder. Select scart in
source on DVD. Play recorded movie on box & hit record on DVD
It's a bit messy, but if you select scart by-pass in DVD menu you
can leave scart from box-DVD & still watch box on TV
