STARVIEW SERVER HAS GONE

starview server has gone,thats all starview cable boxes,starview 6,7 and combo,s was hit first,3 people have been arrested (news on cable closet)the server was closed down on the 2nd and the 3rd of feb,3 people have appeard in court over fraude charges,2 people was released,1 has been remanded.the virgin fraude department have been working closely with the police in the last month.the server was tracked.
thier was news of a kv up for grabs,but this now seems just a thought.
annother starview server is highly unlickly to happen.
this is the second thats ben busted in 6 months.

funny i only heard of the irish raid when equipment was taken,dont see equipment seized only boxes and if they flashed a box and plugged in it ,it still wont work .

if it comes back we will all be happy if it does not then we should still be happy / was told its back in 2 weeks, may be 80% true have to chill and wait hope this helps

News started with the server down because of Chinese holidays, then some one says because of the Egypt riots the server vandalise, then they said it was so windy in Australia the server mask fell down, then they told us the card reader got overheated and melted away, I do not think there is any truth in it.

truth is its not working at this moment in time everyone has either had enough viewing to say i got my monies worth or they are feeling a bit gutted as they have paid for summat that did not last long .

if in the future the servers come back on then wahey you are all back in business but until then believe nothing other than its gone for good.

i expect the other boxes to go to and then other boxes to be released.

as i have stated in a previous post if you want full control or as much control as possible of your server content and running then get a dreambox.

Well at least if you have starview hd combo, you can still carry on!!!!! Was worth every penny!!!!!!! Just get the sat side going, seen as cable looks unlikely to make a return!!!!

well lets hope for over 40,000 customers you are right , but i personally can't see it , hope they use better proxy servers this time with additional security , best of luck m8's
