As someone whos only recently joined the forum, i'm still learning.
After advise from fellow forum members i sifted through pages and apges of posted messages and worked what i needed to do in order to update the software on my digivox. Felling brave i decided to attempt the software update on my digivox myself and went out and bought the rs232 cable from maplin. I saved downloader 10 and the v4.2 bin file onto my laptop, however when i treid to download v4.2 onto the box it wouldn't let me do it.
My freind suggested that the problem could be that i was using a laptop and not a desktop and that the cable i had brought was a USB to rs232 wheras the downloader 10 uses com ports.
Can anyone advise how i can resolve this problem please.
