sorry to butt in on this one, i think i have dropped a boob
i think i have loaded the starview 2 firmware "the box" onto my starview 1
i was inputing the codes manualy and decided to install new firmware (didn't know how to identify my box sv1/2/3)
i think the firmware was 4.0ee which allowed me to input codes but i now have 4.55 and all i get is the logo THE BOX.
i can not do anything else with it just the logo and a single green bar.
nothing works from the remote and will not switch off unless i switch off the pwr.
so if anyone has the old version 4.0 ee, i would at least be able to input manualy

flashed it with an old version 2,57e-E 16th august 2006 that i found in downloads.

this wiped of the logo screen "THE BOX" and allowed me to get to the menu to do a manual input of the codes.
so at least it is working for now untill it gets scrambled again

lets hope someone comes up with a firmware for the old starview 1 but if not i think the box has had a good inns
