i think that they are testing to see if the network can handle on demand stuff and a possible change to mpeg 4(hdtv channels)

I think that it is a case of S*y telling them to tighten their security and also they are dumping all the noobs and discouraging others from getting dodgy boxes.

i am not convinced that is security, and more likely improving the tech to take on board 50mb bb and possibly more channels such as on demand match choice etc sky box office movies.
if it was to increase security then why is there all the scaremongering about vm coming to your door ,on radio as this will not be necessary.

If they hit the suppliers then they will prevent further supply. Eventually they will increase the tech and security. But surely as on nagra3 it is still possible to access like on sat db
