Anyhow I have updated the rom7,10,11 and rebooted on sly S1 and nothing ...shows program info but black picture...restarted evo aswell nothing...Set AU to 2 and have re scanned also

Keys are correct too

He has a DW image on it which i am little unfamiliar with.

A bit lost and was thinking of wiping the whole lot and putting what i have on mine on his??
theres also a ram11,7,10 and strom.bin in the keys folder

you have to wait longer on sky sports 1 it normaly takes a few mins then the picture should come.

far too long mate. if you can ftp to the box should get it sorted ok mate. tell me what image you have and whats in your var\scce and var\keys folder.

When did he put the dw image on it, did it prevously work ???

If it is from after April 08 then it would have been a fta image and you will need to put a full keys folder on it.

You can get that folder at link before but you may as well save the image you have and flash that or put the dk image on at the same link below if its not the image you already have on.

Box was running until last week , he had been updating Keys manually until keymaster 1 stopped. Sems a lot of stuff in there compared to mine

Ballistic can you not take a backup of your image and flash it on to your mates? Agree you seem to have far too much in the folders.

Thast what i was thinking of doing, just deleting everything on his as there does seem alot of stuff on his and it duplicates itself many times..I know some folders hold similiar info but his are taking the mick..

I just thought it would be a case of updateing the new roms etc and bob your uncle

will have ask if he is ok with that before i do..I am sure he will be as just wants it running again.

delete everything out of these folders.

Copy contents of Keys folder to /var/keys
Copy contents of Scce folder to /var/scce

Now delete all rom 7 files only (leave the rams and epr files) and ALL rom 10 and 11 Roms, rams and epr files.

Now download this link

Copy the rom 7 file to var/keys and var/scce.

Now reboot the box - leave it for about 30 seconds. Turn on to sky one and wait about a minute.

nope nothing just a black screen with service could not be found....
Do you think i should clear out the scce and keys in var..init too as these also have all as i have posted above in them.

worth a try yes. Haven`t used a DW for a while but its enigma based and should be very similar in terms of setup to dk.

Away to the footie now mate - but im sure you will crack it.

The alternative is (hopefully you took a back up) of your mates var and scce folders. Is to delete everything in the folders (again!) and basically the follow the same rules in my earlier post. Restotre teh previous files and then delete ALL rom, ram, epr etc 10 and 11 files, only the ROM 7 files and replace with the au one. It should work - you have indicated that you changed the cam to 02 (au) it is evocam yes?

You dont actually have to in reality delete any rom 10 or 11 files it just creates a bit of space. ROM7 fix will do the trick although rom 10 and 11 fixes have now been released as well.

Just flash your image to his - he has to be grateful for that. If you still have his backup send me a pm and i will respond when I am back from footie and I can fix it if its any help. Probably in different areas but if you have a copy of his services you can flash them back. Need to go.

Think theres something up with his box, Flashed my image and the scanning signal on his is very poor down 50-60% compared to 90% so that is probably why he isnt getting a picture...and when scanning its not picking up local transponders.
Sorted for him as best I can...guess it will be a new box for xmas ...or is there a signal booster of some kind that can be purchased?
