want to watch diff channels upstairs

i've got virgin media running downstairs with sports , but want to put another box upstairs so my son can watch different channels.
VM said it would cost 40 quid for another box and then an extra 10 quid per month for the channels....
now 40 quid for a one off box charge is ok , but then another 10 quid a month is taking the piss...
would gladly appreciate any ideas to cut costs , ty before hand

not worth it IMO
?40 + 12x?10 is ?160 and granted to work for 12 months.
kv box ?140ish with no grantees , could last 5 years or 5 Min's

like I kindly said best to call up and ask for a better deal , I know of someone who
got free 2nd box and ?5 a month!
