If Starview is Sunk what is the best route to go down now?

If starview is sunk what is the best options for ex-starview people to go down now, is it to go down the sat side or stay with the cable side options such as kv and such avenues? I myself am thinking of learning about the sat side but as far as i can gather it's a little more difficult to get to grips with so what do other ex-sv users think?

I would recommend a decent free view box at this stage, Google you want find much help as we are all in the same boat.

Tools owned: Hammer, Chisel, Crowbar, Punch, Chainsaw, Cutter and Brain!!!

Did you know People will question all the good things they hear about you but believe all the bad without a second thought.

Kv could end like sv at any given time?

I guess im right in thinking that kryptview could go the same way as starview at any given time and that the support from kv would also be the same as sv which is virtually zero? I already have a vm package on now since the sv went down as my kids won't live without the cartoon channels but i am always trying to save a few quid if possible and although sv did not last so long i got my money's worth out of it, just abouts anyways. I'm not to clued up on the sat side of things but am i right in thinking that the sv & kv cable side only really works because of the sat side or is my thinking flawed? Best thing for me right now is to start reading up on the sat options untill i understand it a bit more but i am curious as to what other ex-sv users are thinking of doing and to get the best help for them too without anyones money being wasted as i seem to hear a lot are thinking of just getting a kv box!

          no guarentees!

although they may be more secure there are no guarentees which in turn could leave you with a approx ?150 hole in your pocket, whichever side i go for wheather it would be sat or cable i would be wanting a hd box i think now so, much reading for me at the mo.

i am not trying to be pessimistic , so don't all kryptview owners go rushing out buying new boxes , but i certainly would not advise any person interested in digital tv to purchase a kryptview or any cable box , for the simple reason when all goes tats up your left with nothing unless you have a dual tuner box , i have had many starview boxes they were a great box user friendly , if they came out with a sat box like the dreambox or tecnomate i'd get one ,so you have my two pence worth DO NOT BUY A CABLE BOX at least for a while .

                  Hi

As a beginner box to the sat side and cheap as well Id go for the openbox hd s9. User friendly and depending on what you want doesnt need to be motorised will work off a fixed sly dish. Thats freeview I talking about.

Ive just got one and am happy with it so far just need to sort out the other stuff for it to get more out of the box.

                  Regards
