    kryptview a780 set up

    hi

    got my kryptview today and i have hooked up the null modem cable via a usb adaptor and connected it to ethernet cable and into the tv via a scart lead ive got the loader and firmware downloaded and the port is pointing at the right one but it keeps coming up with the mesage "download is not requested" please help.

    I have the exact same problem

    I have done all the things stated in the tutorial and i have that message aswell. Have you checked our device settings and made sure you have selected the correct COM port? mines 5 random. let me know if you find a solution please

      this happend to me the cable you got with box is probably faulty.get a new cable from maplin.this should do the trick

        tried that

        I have been and bought a new connector with the correct adaptor aswell cost 25 sheets so it wasnt a cheap 1. any other advise. any would be welcome

          when flashing the firmware to the box only have the minimum of cables connected (disconnect from internet and TV)

            hi smoggy ive only got the null modem cable connected now and its still giving me the same message, im thinking its the driver or cable because its giving me the blue screen of death now to!!!

              a lot of people have nothing but trouble trying to flash with a USB adaptor
              if its possible try to use a mates computer that has the rs232 connection

                    got it sorted it was that crappy cable i would advise anyone else doing it to use the rs232 cable on its own with no adaptors.
