A 750 Searching for update problem

My A750 is stuck in the searching for update mode. I have read some other posts with a simliar problem, whereby the advice is to unplug all the cales from the box, turn it of and let it reset itself. I have left it of for over 4 days and stll it has not reset itself. How long does it normally take ?
P.S. I ahve tried installing an old update but it reverts back to the same searching for update mode once you finish.

try a reflash and factory reset,and scan without lan plugged in

I have tried that but it just reverts to the same searching for new update. I have reflashed it with 03012011 and the older 09092010 as well. In very case the same.
