I cannot see how VM or Police could charge the importer with any defrauding of VM as these receivers are FTA when sold. They do not have firmware on them when purchased that allows access to premium channels and the Ethernet port is covered and has to be physically removed by the purchaser or end user in order to connect to the internet. This effectively makes the purchaser or end user liable for any fraud that is occurring and releases the importer of any responsibility.

So long as the importer is not connected to the uplinks, servers or production of firmware, then there is little chance that a prosecution would succeed. This is VM's bullying tacktics, which in the short term may have worked, but I see no reason why the uplinks and server cannot be up and running within a matter of days if they have not been taken out and there appears to be no indication that they have.

You only have 45 days from time of purchase to open a dispute through paypal, after that you have to deal with the seller direct.

You won't get your money back Bonnie....because that's not a fault mate.. freeview priorities change(even with sky and VM freeview). Some channels are lost and some are added... just how does that fall under faulty?.. my 4 month old freeview TV comes with a booklet showing all its freeview channels, like "channel one" and "Challenge tv" which have gone off freeview since that time I've had it.. so should I bring my TV back for a refund because I am not getting the channels stated on the booklet anymore?

Remember if you open a dispute you will have to give all these details and you will end up looking like an @ss.. especially considering you will be moaning about how VM cloaks some freeview channels under its new N3 encryption, so inturn you're stating and complaining that you bought the box expecting it to decode an encryption... which is illegal

Kryptview knew this would become a game of cat and mouse, this was always gonna happen... remember they haven't abandoned you, they are being smart and waiting to come back online at the right time.. something has happened, which is a good thing because atleast thats the reason why they are offline. Not like they've walked away purposely.

according to DC recievers kryptview has finished and arnt stocking them anymore just like mycablebox.com theyve took them off there web page. they waited till sales droped and then turned it off.and cause they havent sold as many starview theyve switched them back on so you will all buy them and do the same
