    Same Server ?

    Hi All,

    Here's hoping the server was just switched off as a precaution and will come back on some time soon - However, if they have to switch servers how will the KV's know where to look for them - wasn't there a 'C' line of code we had to put on the boxes originally ?

          If the server doesnt come back on the old IP address/location it was on then there will probably need to be software update released which you then flash to the reciever which contains the new server details.

          If all they did was turn off the server for safety reasons as claimed why not simply switch it back on as it was...sounds simple enough...dont know why 2 weeks has has been quoted if al that is required to switch a server back on.

          Makes you think theres more to it like ongoing police investigation, and server will stay off until the KV trader team decide it's safe to switch back on...without them getting jailed !

                  Its a real possibility of jail time if found doing this activity,so the safety of the guys who take these risks is my main concern, i just wish others would realize this and have patience. Main relay server is still connected so when uplinks come back online so will channels, no new f/w needed.

                      I don't think it has anything to do with the "Server" I would go along the points made by ManUtd 85 Re:-KV STB Update Thread, & CraggZ Re:-Kryptview Update Thread. It's basically a combination of both problems.
