it seems that some people who shout and scream about all most everything want somerthing for free?? now lets face the facts of life anything you get for free will always be dodgy with risks involved which is well stated we buy set items that can do things that we do at our own risk but we buy them for that very reason, we all saved money some more than others. any company these days can and do run out of money nothing we can really do and does any1 really thing that cable companies dont know about these boxes or know that their subs have gone done? my own opinion is that kv will be back standing tall but how long well how long is a piece of string at the end of the day none of us would really want to go to prison and defo not for televison which we all know consists of repeat after repeat and as for the sports we all have a computer and there vis more than a handful of websites which we can watch sports on and if not if all else fails we can all go down to our local peace tc

spoke to my supplier about 1 week before they went off
regaurding getting a box and price for someone else
i then asked about hd boxes for future
he said he aint gonna touch them ,he says he has had
to many probs with hd in past doesnt want the hassle
delt with him for approx 10 years
dont shoot the messenger

HD boxes will get better with time its just the begining yet, soon it will be all about 3D, once they get over the glasses problem like Nintendo DS seem to have done

3dtvs without glasses went on sle in japan b4 xmas but only available in small sizes, as soon as they make affordable screen sizes over 40" they will be sold in europe and usa. i believe they are made up of 2 screens one is lcd nd the other is led placed in front of one another. but even at that 3dtv aint what its cracked up 2 be. its been available on pc's for years now.

To many people moaning and telling lies i paid ?400 for 3 boxes they were Noki Boxes the i sold them and paid ?300 for 3 Eurovoxes ones then managed to sell um and got 3 kv boxes for ?400 wich me and my mates have had for about 8 months. Thats about ?366 each for about 7 years(if im not mistaken) of free tv. Im not complaining i have had a good run if they come back on that would be great if not the summer is comming time to get a mountain bike and get my self fit from watching all this free tv its turned me into a couch potato .

I have been informed by a reliable source that the KV will be back up and running by the beginning of next week, this is not 100% and please dont shoot the messenger but this person has never failed me!!

Also everyone slatin DC Recievers, i have also been told there site should be back up very soon due to maintainence being completed, nothing to do with server going down as they sell FTA boxes!

Hope this info is useful to all those awaiting the return!!

The reason they won't do that is simple... its a F@%king thrving business.. the boxes are selling and have been out of stock on many a ocassion. So just exactly why do you and boonie think they would purposely walk away from a money spinner business and risk their whole name.. do you really think these people at KV are idiots?

They want the servers back up ASAP so not to ruin their image and keep the a780s selling. To say that they're gone and are going to come back under a diferent name is the most idiotic thing I've heard... again simply because no one will have faith anymore in online cableboxes and they won't part with their cash and probably go to Satellite.... do you really think KV don't know this!.. and are stupid enough to risk it all to do that?.. not to mention they are more less they only ones worth while in the cable online sector and they know it.. so them even contemplating a move like that would be stupid and bring about bankruptcy.

Jesus, I'd hate you to think of you or boonie as a business CEO's... you'd probably say something daft like " hey I got an idea, lets stop making boxes(even though they're selling), sell the remainder off. Then lets hide for a few months then come back and manufacture new boxes and cross our fingers and hope there are alot of stupid people out there who will buy them all over again.".... there would be a massive plunge in sales of the new boxes, because people know the risk factor, and again, KV being a decent business know this.

we do our research and take the risk nowing that they could and do go off at any given time only now there has been a gap left in the market they were top off yes they want 2 be safe but sure they not going to give up just becuase they have been shaken once with little out come on the laws end and if they dont come back another box/company will fill the gap said and done it is only televison not the end of the world

I agree sirus, kv is big buisiness, with a very good rep. If they did do as some have been saying, and then come back with another box, no one would buy it. They wouldn't have any confidence in it whatsoever. I bought 4 eurovox boxes about 5 weeks before they went off. That was just bad luck. But many people i know who had a eurovox, didn't want to even consider a kv a780 let alone any other, because they were worried of it happening again. Even after all this time with the kv up and running, alot of people still wouldn't buy one. Even though it was a different box alltogether. The closing down of the eurovox, certainly effected sales of any other new box on the market. Kv have a very good rep, and i am pretty sure they would want to continue. They know if they don't get back online that rep will be gone. Ask yourselves a question.....If kv bought a new box out now, to replace the a780 saying it was all singing all dancing with new software and would never go offline.... would you buy one ? I know i wouldn't. In all fairness the a780 hasn't been on the market that long, and even though it's great what these little boxes do for free, people still like to get a little value for money. If it is POSSIBLE for the guys to get back online, you can bet yer arse THEY WILL. It wasn't just the eurovox that went offline when they changed to the new nagra 3. All these guys who provide us with the tech to be able to get all this stuff, should have a nice big pat on the back, instead of being slated when things go wrong.... if thet don't come back online, it's because they CANT not WONT. I HAVE EVERY FAITH IN THE KV TEAM !

i stated earlier it could be as simple as when they had their shske down some of thier uploaders kacked their pants and agreed to stop if this happened there would be a big problem as where and who would now be doing the uploading so we could get our channels just a thought??
well would you stay uploading with all the probs and what seems to be others that think it is there right to get for free??? well i am grateful for all their effort and trust they will be back
