updating kryptview

hi im new to this so please make allowances, normaly have to get someone to update firmware for me but want to try it my self got my nul modem cable but am a bit worried in ccase i do some damage downloaded update instructions and loader but instructions seem to be different to what some posters are advising should i follow instructions ie using remote red buttons or power off option any help please cheers

i just connect box to pc with cable.
open download tool
code send choose the file
press download
plug in kryptview to mains power will start downloading
then in menu do a factory reset
then scan for channels

can the box's be flashed from one to the oyher without the use of a pc? amate of mine reckons he's seen it done anyone know?

Update between boxes

You can only update between boxes when you have one fully updated box.

The instructions for the update between bozes are below:

• Connect the box(box 1) requiring the update to the TV via Scart.
• Connect the 2nd box (box 2) that already has the update installed to box 1 via RS232 null modem cable.
• Turn on both boxes.
• Cover the IR sensor on box 2.
• Open menu on box 1
• Select download software/update.
• Click OK.
• When download complete turn off box 2 at mains
• Disconnect RS232 null modem cable from both boxes.
• Search for channels as normal.

Any problems, I've no idea how to sort it.
