Kryptview restarting

Everytime I switch my box off, then back on again im having to factory reset/rescan channels. Once rescanned box is back to normal.

Anyone else having the same problem.

thats what I meant putting it into standby (not powering it off). Its when I put it into standby that I lose all channels.

when I put my 780 on standby, it takes roughly 30-50 secs to connect again. May be that you are not giving it enough time to find the server again. As far as I know they ( the kv team) are trying to fix these issues on a day to day basis. Hopefully in time it will be back to normal soon.

i had exactly same problem with my kva780, everytime i switched it off, then kept wiping all channels automatically and going to factory default at next time i power it on. It was only FIXED after I did an update of the Firmware to (24/03/2011). After that its never happened again. I can now turn it off at the back, and next time i switch it on, works perfectly fine.

Ah, that explains why it just hanged when I tried to update it.

I have software version pv3.5.00 (24/8/10), that still manages to get all the channels thus far so it's not too bad.

When will we know when the s/w update is available for the box (available from menu update that is)?

you are missing loads of channels i think,flash it with the jan firmware in downloads above and factory reset and autoscan.
you have to have this years firmware for it to work properly as that may be why you lose channels.
as the firmware in downloads works they are more inclined to get all channels backup first.

I seem to have all the channels that are listed on these forums; minus movies, sly sports news and sly news etc, and they all seem to work OK - I'm just a little apprehensive about flashing as I haven't done it on this box before and I don't have a serial lead. I was hoping to update from the box menu when the server allows.

might be wise to leave it as it is then!! if you are getting the listed channels...just keep trying online update from the box/menu...every 2/3 days...if server is fully up..you shud get that update of 24/03/2011...or newer version if they do release another.

Indeed! Providing the firmware on my box (pv3.5.00) allows me to update when the server allows then all is cool.
