how long does the new update filmware take?

the one in downloads works,but new update is done through a s/w update via remote with lan cable.

not sure wot the problem is then, nothing happens on the s/w search at the moment, my net is clear, lan is in aswell,will have to sit tight and see wot happens, cheers anyway

Before new update I had to wait around 60 secs or so to view sports now after update it's instant no waiting keep up the work kv

Your one of the lucky ones.

After I last updated mine about three weeks ago I had to wait two ~~~~ing weeks for sports to come back.

If you are watching tv through ur krypt now there shouldn't be a problem with s/w update if you can't update there's something wrong

updateing sw is fine now but not to sure what it has done maybe time will tell channel coming back quickly now so all looking good

could be the download server was overloaded ? but can you actually see ss1 just now without update just to check your box is connected to the net if so you should be able to download ok

i am using 03/1/2011 firmware to and no update

Just done the update, took up to 5 minutes.

No need to rescan or anything.

those who are having difficulty getting the new update...firstly make sure your box has internet access....if you have the previous firmware (24/03/2011), you can find your ip by going to Menu, System Info i think, and then by pressing the Green button on remote will display your ip.....if the ip doesnt show then youre not connected to the net....

once you got the latest firmware (24/04/2011), by using the remote/menu...reset your box to factory default, unplug the LAN cable so it has no internet access, then scan for channels from new.....dont forget to plug in the LAN cable after scan finishes.

people are told to factory reset anytime a firmware upgrade is done,but do they?no, get into the habit of doing both also posting said info as it will help others to do it correctly

what difference does it make if you take the lan out or not, because i didnt and it works the same?

if your scanning for channels you dont want any outside problems,so removing lan all info comes from cable source only.
