exactly how many chanals are they now on the kv ,can any one say what chanals they are,and when are the kv team going to achive the standards they had before, shorely they must be reading the one and the leading dk threads since they get alot off bissness from the readers WHO VISIT DIGITALKAOS,sorely they must give the answrs now. All channels are on the KV even those with FTA only firmware. The question you should ask is how many are clearing using the latest firmware and correct NET ID.

Will a firmware update be required? Everyone keeps on saying to use an SW update from the menu but there is no option for it (sorry, i'm a noob at getting it to work, and new to DK). Also, even when the servers were magically back up, all of the channels were still down on my box, any ideas?

you would have to have the january firmware to allow you to s/w update first,if you dont it would need flashing by null modem cable method first.

you need to have the latest firmware on box 24042011 which is only on the internet,as older firmwares will no longer be supported.

I have the KV A750 though, but I presume that the method would be the same for both? But thank you so much for the help, I'll give the flash a go and try using the January's .bin file to try the S/W update. Once again, thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
