Missing channels, What one you missing most?

Have you guys not thought of going down the satellite route? Cable seems pretty unreliable these days.

You can use your minidish (if one is up) and just add a ?50 receiver. Or if you don't have a dish, you can buy them on eBay for a few quid, or sign up to a basic sly package and have them install one.

If you don't like sat, fair enough, just wondered why you all persevere with cable.

Oh, so this doesn't seem too off-topic, I would miss sports and movies the most.

i think the simple answer to your question would be to remind you that there is a RECESSION going on and 2.53 million people who are unemployed in this country ! Therefore people will automatically look for the cheapest options available to them at that time ! Satellite is another option but with installation fees and the price of yet another box and channel package costs etc etc , i will stick with CABLE along with the hundreds of others thinking like me at the moment .

sat option is not perfect either, its not always stable, some sub providers are reliable/stable than others, but whoever you get your sub from, sometime some channels dont work.
