Have some respect the KV guys are working their butts off for us, they could have done a runner when it went off but no they are fixing the prob and updating the server for us to enjoy our viewing. Patience is needed......Until the server is fixed and back up and running we will suffer from these glitches which happen mostly when the football is on, because so many people want to watch and the server at the moment is clogging up but it will be sorted i have the faith in the KV guys, you should too

That is not the same thing!.. someone is streaming their channel to a pc and recording and uploading it on the fly to a server on the web for people to tune into and watch... waaay different!!!

KV boxes get the channel video and audio AND encryption from the cable wire(just like real VM boxes).. KV boxes dont have a smartcard or encryption emulation scheme, so they can only get the codes/ecm keys words to your box through the network port(bypassing the whole smartcard decode process) these codes are uploaded by some else with a real box and sub.. this is all controlled through the kv software.. it looks at the network port for the encryption when you turn to a encrypted channel and makes a request to the server for the codes to stream through keeping the channel smooth, if codes are a split second late then you get a freeze. these freezes are purposeful and sent out this way to trip up pirate servers, because that is a true counter measure from VM and Sky(to keep the codes coming fast).. fast means servers can fall into latency delay and people get annoyed when freezing occurs, whereas real boxes have smartcards to decode the channels, and don't get this latency as its decoded there and then. You have to wait for someone to receive the keys then upload them and for the server to bounce them to your box, and all this has to be in split second timing otherwise freezing or breakup comes.. the channels need these key codes to stay smooth.. like a intravenous drip

I love how all these people are repling to others trying to help with replies like "bolox" or "you're talking out your ass" and yet they dont even have a clue what they are moaning about...

At the end of the day its a hobby and this forum is for interest and helping out, take this as a lesson and go find something better if it annoys you so much.. no one here has to listen to your moaning or ranting at people

i might look at at another way,put another say 10 servers + up load all the channels back everybody gets hooked up ,and guess what loads of internet traffic added pointing to *****
like following a trail which is possible,things have changed and not like before,its a hobby for most,if you dont like it there is nothing to stop you paying a full sub or go sat,i have seen reports saying 2 weeks back again and everybody will be on the new firmware or blank screens.
signal levels and quality do matter as that gets overlooked
and a good lan feed s that can give you glitching even on sat .
how many people know how their box works and how to factory reset etc.find out how it works it will be less stressful for all.

All these numpties can do is moan moan moan if you don't like KV go sell your box on fleabay. Read what i wrote before you try dissin me i was talking about the KV boxes not Internet streams which are coming from someones sat box not from KV

Well "one" can only assume mate... maybe they DID have to build the server back up from scratch again. Or maybe some uploaders got cold feet from whatever happened and KV are sorting out some new ones... theres probably less than 10 people on this earth that truly know exactly what happened and how its being took care of and how long it may take before you can expect normal service agian.

It really cracks me up though, people dissing others that are actually trying to keep the faith and who even go as far to explain the glitching and freezing.. only to be told to stop talking bolox.
