I have recently moved to / started a new job in England. As I dont know the area I decided to house share for the first while. Anyhow a girl moved out last week and a new fella is to move in on Monday... He works as a tech for Vermin.

What the ~~~~ am i going to do with the KV that supplies our TV needs. Between me and the other guy that lives here already we have three. One in the living room and one in each of our rooms.

Think if I stripped out an old sky box I have and place the KV in it he would notice?!? Or should I just dig a 6' hole in the garden in preparation?

i know a few VM techies and they aint all saints they sell KV n SV boxes themselves and sold the old boxes b4 Nagra 3 came in.

But some are loyal to VM tho, but i wish you well just don't say anything about it let him make the 1st move see if hes actually botherd, at the end of the day he isnt getting paid to snoop around looking for people with ilegal boxes or connections

as an ex rep, used to get 2 boxes paid for free and paid ?10 a month for other.

but we all used to be after money,so hope hes the same, blind eye.

just suss him out, or if you have the hole, and he does not play ball, mave him to hole.

i have been with cable for years now and the majority of the engineers who came to the house for repairs or installations are always happy for a back hander for extra sockets and cable etc etc. If you house share , he would not know who the box belongs to or how long it has been in your residence and therefore cannot prove who installed it !! You could always say it belonged to the Girl who moved out and left it as she moved abroad . As mentioned in another post he might come up with a sweet deal for you all as he is staff ! I would just PLAY IT COOL and get to know him and suss him out before digging holes in the Garden Ha Ha !

I would chap his door. Say to him youve got a KV. Does he know anyone running the servers or could he help you set up a server.

He would need to be a serious VM employee to give a ~~~~ about who's got what.

Last VM engineer that came to my house and seen my dish. Asked me if i could help him get his technomate back up and running. Said it suddenly just went off one day.
