Hi its a while since I have done an update but I have never had a problem before can anyone help? I open up the loader software but the bin file in download and press start and it keeps comming up with STB Editor "The downloading is not requested". Any ideas?

do you have the jan firmware on box if so you can do a s/w upgrade via remote no messing with pcs or cables
if you have previously flashed your box and wish to update the box's firmware over the internet
heres how you do it.
first off, .leave everything connected as it is
got to menu/installation/ok
it will ask for a pin number, enter 0000 unless you have changed it.
scroll down to S/W Update then ok.
now leave the box alone,
the box may appear as if it has gone off, leave it alone, it will start.
it will download the update (counts up to 100%)
it then unzips the files ( counts up to 100%)
then it will flash the box
do not touch the remote untill it has finished flashing and reboots on its own,
you will see the channel number on the front of the box after it reboots
thats it, your done.
recommend factory resetting the box and rescanning as always when reflashing a box.
so easy and no messing with cables and pc's.
