Not that you shouldnt try to access interactive with that set up but rather you will not be able to at all. And no i'm not saying they will hunt you down but they can see that the box is not talking back and may want to investigate why. Its best to keep it hooked up properly and talking back to them for peace of mind.

The whole point of it all is to avoid drawing attention to yourself by having it hooked up and working, most will use it in another room in the house.
