    signal strength problems

    My mate is having signal strength problems, would it be worth using a signal booster.

    if his signal is weak i doubt a booster would make much difference to be honest. If he's using a splitter try connecting directly to the box without the splitter and check to see if the signal is any better.

    otherwise reboot everything internet n box

      Dont see how rebooting everything will improve his signal to be honest mate..........

        signal strength comes from the cable feed not from the lan,if he just pays for bb and not a tv package signal strength will be weaker plus old wiring can have problems even at connectors.

          I only pay for broadband and haven't got the tv package but my signal is quality, around 82-88 nearly every channel, so i doubt its got anything to do with that.

            i only pay for bb i dnt have the TV package either and my signal is fine above 80 all the time

              i dont have virmin bb or tv, cable goes under the flagstones
              and through the brambles ,has done for 11 years,
              signal quality on most is 88

                82-88 is good,when it freezes anybody in house using internet?

                  he says that even with it going straight in without the splitter he's getting very low signal strength. 50 to 60.

                      got a standard phone tv and BB pack as far as I know.

                            last 3 weeks my v plus box has been coming up with no signal every day , could be a vm problem , than the kv box
