i'm trying to update my kryptview box, i got the firmware and loader but when i click start i get a pop up saying "Code error file size" !! can anyone help me please???

I assume you are using the correct loader and firmware? When you open up the loader "Type" should be FTA_model - yes? -
Yes it say's FTA model, i got firmware 291108 is that ok? i could'nt find 301108! sorry i'm a newbie at this, just don't want to pay someone to fix it you know...... thanks for your helpComment

just in case the bin file has somehow become corrupted. pot back to see if works.Comment

OK downloaded 28/11/08 and that seemed to work but now it says can't open serial port com1, i have a 9 pin cable in the back of box with a usb connection on other end which is in my laptop,Comment

OK i tried com3 and clicked start it seemed like it was gonna work, i pressed red + red + standby then it pops up "the downloading is not requested" very grateful for any further help/advice pleaseComment

Bob lots of people have problems flashing from a laptop especially with vista. This thread may give you an insight.
try pressing download whilst the box is turned off at the mains. as you press download turn the box on quickly.Comment
