krptview set up - lost channels after reset

    hello all

i've reset the kva780 and seemed to have lost many channels?? did the network scan, autosearch etc, selected location, and now sky sports 1 has gone amongst many others, weirdly however, i've now retreived sky sports 2 for example, and lost some of the film channels, can someone pls point to how i can start all over again? delete all channels & start afresh,do i need to connect my box up to the laptop again and download the updated software from April 2011??

if you have the latest firmware .24042011 good as a factory reset only deletes the channel list.
factory reset again and remove lan.
make sure you scan from direct feed no splitters.
make sure you choose correct net id
when channels loaded insert lan and exit out.
powering off at rear of box modem and router for 30 secs then on.

you probably have old outdated firmware on box,it would need the latest file.

when you do that you need to factory reset and rescan.

cactikid thank you for your help

sorry i'm a wee bit confused..for e.g in the sports sectn, can only get sky sports 2&4, eurosport, mutv & motors tv, should this be the case?

i have the latest firmware 24042011 and have followed the instructions, but the channels remain the same..when you say remove lan?is that the homeplug cable i have attached to the kv port? i assume factory reset is the same as factory default?

what would be the correct net id for e17 london? is that Haringey?

hey, must be the net id, did try one for watford, & got back sky sports1, espn etc, but lost sky sports 2, hmmmm, and still missing movie channels??

So someone tell me is the net id the determining factor. depending on net id you choose, seem to get differerent channels, BTW, live in NE London

yes scanning wrong net id loses channels, try another factory reset/default to erase channels.yes the lan cable is the internet cable as it is only removed for scanning.
you may have a number of ids to choose from also make sure your coaxial cable is from a direct feed which will be stronger.
