arnet remote issues

Hi All, my remote has died just in time for xmas, led still flashes when pressed but box not responding? has anyone had the same issue or does anyone know a fix? i have purchased a "oneforall" 5
One-for-All | Universal Electronics
to see if this would solve the prob, but no joy yet again. does anyone know the remote code for arnet to punch into the new remote? or a proven remote to buy that works arnet?

would highly apreciate any feedback folks as a christmas with a bad back flicking through the channels on my box manually takes me back to the days before remotes were around nor cable tv - must have been the betamax .
