could someone please answer a few questions about kryptview a780

so my box wiil be here in he next day or two but its coming new . so can someone tell me which firmware it is i need to get it going . i know there dotted all over d k but just want to make sure ?

i usually flash it with the Jan file then update it afterwards thru the box

by that do you mean go to downloads and find the file from january . sorry to sound daft but just making sure

Yes you can do it like that

Make sure you use the A780 version as the A750 firmware has the same date !!!!


Then use remote and installation menu and s/w update to
24/04/2011 let box reboot.

reset modem (or just switch everything off for 30 sec)

then your up to date, or load the April firmware direct.

right i have got my box and downloaded kryptview loader and is up on my desk top but when i try to down load the Kryptview Bin / Firmware file it just redirecs me to download page could some one tell me were could get this file from plus is this file the same as Digital Kaos - Downloads - KV780 03/01/11 Firmware or do i have to put this on to the box as well

You will need a null cable to do it evelyn............

i have that and i have plugged it to my desktop and then into the back of the box opened the loader and have that on my screen but it wont let me download the bin. filmware it says invalid file . but can i down load Digital Kaos - Downloads - KV780 03/01/11 Firmware
and put this into the loader instead?

Its a rar file compressed have you un rared it first............

You will need either winzip winrar or 7zip to do it..........

hi yes i have winrar . i went in Kryptview Firmware Loading Guide / Tutorial and read all about pluging in null cable done that then it goes down to downloading file were it says
Kryptview Loader is HERE.

Kryptview Bin / Firmware is HERE.
the loader one works fine but the filmware does'nt

right i have plugged in the kryptview box ' virmin cable and the ethernet cable and ready to go . i have done a filmware update and a factory reset and then a screen has come up with languege ' summer time etc and at the bottom it says auto scan i've pressed that then it starts looking for areas . done that then it scans but it is only finding some on demand channels like music . it has'nt even found any free to air channels but one its found itv2 but it says scrammbled or low signal . and my signal is 77 . could some one help me were i am going wrong please
