Does anyone know why they are down!

hi all as we know the channels are down well some are some still working. does any one on here know the reason why? or when it will be back to normal? i guess a sever is off or down hence the loss of channels but can someone shed any light on why? i hope it not more raids surley the police have better things to do unless thay are board of bullying drivers.

they have a technical problem and its hoped they will get the missing channels back on tonight (they ones that were working a few days ago )

It's probably something to do with the work VM have been carrying out in various regions recently, changed frequencies and the like.

oh yeah i forgot about that i had a vermin tech in my home about a month ago and he said that they are going through areas in west yorkshire doing the green virgin boxs on the streets and working on them then changing their colour to grey "for done" so i should expect problems till they have finished

...and you would be wrong on several counts !

1/ There's actually more than 1 server, 5 or 6 at least I think

2/ The problem is nothing to do with the server as such - its more of a CW upload thing. If a server went down then you would cycle to another server (if room was available). If all servers go down or no available server slots then no channels !

If just a few channels go off then its nearly always something to do with the subscribed card that controls those channels. Either a tier has expired or the card itslef has completely expired. This will often happen when tiers are manually updated rather than continuously routing all EMM's to all cards. (Emm's take card processing time which means they are 'less' efficient for generating channel CW's).

, no, its nothing to do with the servers. Its the subscribed cards that are being used. They simply haven't been updated !
