    Signal quality help??

Hello i brought a kryptview a few weeks ago so i ent got that much of a clue about them but sayin that im not exactly thick as 2 planks
The problem is the my signal strenght is about 82-88 on most channels which i gather is fine but the quality keeps going up and down i have had it as low as 17 and up to 77 but it mostly stays around 40. On some channels the pictures is breaking up and i think this is the problem?
I tried signal deviation but it dosent move of the off setting?
I have the latest software and am in the birmingham area using birmingham net id? Can anyone help please?

        Hi

I recently purchased the Kryptview A780 and have set this up using a splitter so my VM HD box and Kryptview are sharing the same cable feed. My signal level on the HD box is 100 but on the Kryptview is only 56 on the majority of channels.

I'm paying for a VM sub so the signal should be the same I'm assuming. Anyone got any ideas how I can improve the signal strength on the Kryptview box? Was thinking of buying a signal amplifier but wanted to get some feedback before doing so. If so could you recommend which amplifier I should go for.

        Thanks.

once you split a cable it reduces the signal, you dont mention where you split the cable? is it before the VM box? 56 is to low, I would check your split to see if its done right as it could be a bad fitting

Have you tried taking off the splitter and just have your kryptview connected then see if signal improves

I've connected the Kryptview and VM using the same splitter - so in theory they should be getting a similar signal level.

Will try connecting the Kryptview directly (without using a splitter) and see what kind of signal level I get.

If I do need an amplifier, do you have any suggestions about which one to buy?

it is at your end the signal quality has nothing to do with kv you either have a poor feed coming into the house or bad connection inside the house if you dont subscribe then not much you can do if signal into the house is poor other than subscribe to BB or subscribe to basic package then you can complain to vm and get your signal checked
