How do I update my A780 Please?

Better when the servers are offline at least there is something to work on. Opposing sides are getting a bit petty at this stage.

any clue for a totlal noob as to how to update this? the guy who used to do it for me has moved to austria

any help and advice would be very much appreciated. will stay on all evening for replies guys

I have moved your post to here as it will be answered quicker if in a dedicated thread.

Take a look at the red stickies at the top of this section. If you are still stuck please post here. If your mate updated it before he went away then it should be working if not do an online update.

As said take a read first and then come back.

Ent got much of a clue myself tbh mate but when i updated mine i went onto menu and then instalation then sw update and it should update?

if your box was working a few weeks ago it should have the correct firmware on,maybe box just needs a reboot so you can try this also,power off at rear box modem and router for 30 seconds then on,give it a min to get an ip addy it should work then.
