Kriptview "update codes?"

Hello all
My kriptview box has the latest firmware installed but some channels say "waiting for update code"? Does anyone know what the update code is and where do i type it in?

You cannot manually enter the codes on these boxes unless the latest firmware changed things (and I dont think it did). If you have the new firmware is should be auto updating.

I keep having this problem as well it will come up with updating code and not do anything.

I am using the latest firmware that is posted in the downloads section

try factory reset choose provider e.g ntl,t/w etc and scan for channels

Are you using the 30/11 firmware?if not,try that,it sorted it out for me but i still have a few channels missing.

Hi, i have 29/11/08 software but it reads 26/9/08 when you go into system info cos its a patch, i also had channels missing at first. make sure you put box on standby when not in use as the kryptview scans for new channels when sleeping, next time you switch on the channels should return

Thanks for the advice,i will put it on standby tonight and see if that makes a difference.
My system info also says 26/09/2008,even though i have the 30/11/2008 software installed.
By the way, what is a patch?

just an old firmware modified to autoroll when keys roll, which is why it says 26/9/08 on the system info. some peeps think cos it got old date that it wont work (outdated) that not always the case.

disconnect the power source, reconnect then try a rescan, if no joy, try reflashing the box with latest firmware.

as soon as i conect the power supplyit freezes streight away and i can do nothing at all cheers

did you try the reflash? you dont need to switch on till all cables connected up and download ready to go. if the progress is going up on puter and green light going round on box then it working.
