My internet is through Virgin but not in a cable area.... does that mean mine wont work?

As zee24 said it wont work your just connected to a phone line like with any other adsl broadband its just that your provider is virgin

no it wont work tv signal comes through vm dsl (you need virgin coax ) the codes that come through the internet to clear channels come through cable or adsl
but you could go down the satellite root

Just been told that my new flat although through Virgin, would be an ADSL connection.... Will the Kryptview box work with this?

Kryptview will not work without a cable feed, ADSL would provide the broadband/internet connection but the Kryptview also requires the tv data that is only in cable connections.

If you go the sat route any internet connection will provide the BB internet required for opening subscription channels and the channel data would come from the sat dish.
