Yo, New to Kryptview, question or 2

Hi all, I am new to kryptview but not new to the scene. I have a VU and an 800 running from my dish and in the old days i made a few MOSCs and played with a eurovox / starview etc.

I was under the impression that all this stuff on the cable scene was finished. am i wrong? if so whats the score with the kryptview? I have been offered a A780. are these any good? are they capable of unlocking all the chans? is it the same as the olden days with just flashing a new firmware?

kv 750 and 780 work but not getting all the channels abit up and down,with kv once box is flashed any further update can be done by s/w on remote ,starview boxes can be flashed also but you need to pay a sub to register your box to work,how long will cable last??so much more to go wrong and boxes need a lan connection.

more glitching happens and loss of channels at times i forgot to mention and no sub to view yet

So no sub required for the Kryptview? 40 quid for a 780 is a good deal then yes?!? what about the 800Hd box? do any of the HD chans work?

I Dont think the 800hd box is surported anymore i could not find one for sale anywhere the KV780 for 40quid snap it up there sell for ?130 on ebay alone even with FTA software on them.

yep correct no kv hd box works old box with no support,40 sounds ok,yep no sub for kv all they want is for you to have a paid tv sub or you may get cut off with your tv signal.
kv boxes are sd only as boxes have a scart not hdmi.

Yo sorry to be a pain but having a few issues. Got it flashed no problems, plugeed ib ethernet and cable, i am ex cw so did factory reset and selected excw. Asked for net id location, i selected liverpool ttn (or similar) as i am on the wirral, problem is when it then scans it only unlocks FTA. Checked router and all is well, ip is assigned etc...

Any help?

you can get your net id off your legit vermin box

What date firmware you got on the box. menu, system information. Should be 24/04/2011

probably got older firmware on box or box modem and router need powering off at rear for 30 secs then on.

After you flashed it did you go to Instalation then update?
