Zee, come back to cable. I know you keep popping up in here! All the channels are coming back and there is less glitching. And, there are NO monthly sub costs - Spread the word
Well done KV. I guess the "Boonie Sat" guys wished they never got rid of their KVs!! LOLComment

I am looking at a new box... dont know whether to go for KV or Satellite!! Honest opinions please guys?Comment

As far as i am aware, it's a basic sub to sky. That way you get your dish and basic set up.
I assume the box that you buy does the rest in order to let you access all channels.
Somebody please correct me if im wrong as i am too interested in this using my communal dish at my flatComment

Server
People keep going on about going sat route if people just hold on for abit longer im sure there will be alot more c/s servers popping up for cable i know people using Private c/s on cable and seen it and it aint nothing like Starviews KVs overloaded servers, these servers are very solid just as good as any sky c/s,
Using the right box DM500 DM500hd and alot more, dont know maby even kryptview team will decide to open there image so we can enter our own cccam details like starview ?, then the box would be more appealing and and would keep the companys good name,
If they keep it locked to there servers they risk there boxes turning out like eurovoxs? i dont think they want that as they would probobly like to resale more box's,
They are very good box's quality great and quite solid just the c/s has gone pair shaped lately they need to get there act together?
It was a great start with K/V solid as a nut harly any glitching untill the big drop and its not been the same since like they decided to go the starview server route im just waiting on a post saying there looking for people to start paying like s/v?
Money talks

you dont need to pay sly a sub, just get a dish up costs about ?45 to get a firm to do it, if you have already got one just use that. Then get a box open box 10s are about ?75 and are easy to set up, blade ect are better but cost more, or the spiderbox which you can get with channels, you have to link them via the net same as cable, the hard bit is getting a decent server just google see feedback and get a 24 hour test.anyone who has had a cable box will be able to get the hang of it after a bit of reading,.Drawbacks are bad weather a bit of picture loss, you have to take out a sub ?10 to ?15 month and it takes a bit of reading up at first, but in reality its just download the fimware, channel list, enter cline (sub) all by usb and scan away you go.If cable gets the channels back stick with that, if not give sat a shot, hope this helps, newbie sat side myself, but the people on the forum helped out a lotAs far as i am aware, it's a basic sub to sky.
