Hi all, contemplating moving to BT broadband/phone, currently with vermin for bb & phone, but no tv package, will it affect channels received through KV if i no longer sub to vermin?

what channels KV hardly has any left n yes it will you may still get the channels but the coverage will be rubbish the picture quality etc or you may not get any channels at all.

I recommend you going to the sat side, more channels less time spent waiting for the KV or SV team to sort themselves out coz you can sort it out yourself or can actually speak to the people where you get your sub from

You risk being disconnected from the cabinet if you have no sub with Virgin Media.

Maby it can however your ping time may decrease with bt compared to vermin or rais up something to test your self thats on the internet side?

However people do say when they get there tv packages removed and are running a KV it couses issues i know people that run like this all the time never seen them having any issues?

Its a risk u may be willing to take but my oppinion u should be ok not unless they decide to disconect u from the box out side hehe,

U can do what they used to do in my area go back in to box at night and hook your self back in

yes i can Kingkermit, i had the KV a780 for a year and im glad i did compared to the SV the KV guys have done a great job. However once the servers went down in March/April the box hadn't been the same since it came back, some days the channels are fine other days the channels are off, so unreliable.

I had enough of it in the end as i found out the sat option wasn't as expensive or difficult as i expected, so i sold my KV last week and bought a Blade box which ive had nearly a week and im loving every minute great picture, and more channels.

So im back here to recommend it to other people, i have nothing against KV, but at the end of the day in this climate we want more for our money and the KV box is up n down. I do hope it all goes back to how it was for all your sakes

longtime? more like past month, and that's only because i found out more about it, as the saying goes don't shoot the messenger. Im just giving you another option, if you don't want to know then don't take it. DOn't get me wrong im not 1 of those who come out and say this is the end of KV without any proof far from it, but we all know how much of a pain it is when the channels on or off quite often

We get the hint......you're not a fan of KV anymore and love Sat.
I hope for your sake the quality of Sat. is sustained because your bigging it up on the strength of only having had it a week!
Come back when its lasted as long as KV

I'd just like to ask the mods why they continually ignore satellite promoting posts in the cable section at all, when i'm sure if i was to hi-jack a thread in the sat section with pro cable posts i'd soon have them moved to the proper section. As with the guys above I get fed up when i'm trying to read about cable related matters and somone just comes in and changes the course of the thread towards satellite.If i wanted satellite related threads i'd go to the sat section.

Nothing gets ignored anywhere. We move posts when we see them in the wong section. There is a report button on each and every post. If we miss something and it's reported by someone it is dealt with accordingly.

if you have any problems regaurding any posts use this---> thats what its for, im sure the posts you refer to are just trying to explain what a lost cause cable tv and c/s is, and that sat tv is a lot safer bet,
