i dont see how they can tell, cos the kv and sv boxes both dont talk back to the vermin network, its a one way communication, its all incoming and no outgoing communications.

of course theres a way for them to find out, as you are recieving encrypted CW's from there very own vm bb and before another non informed smart arse tries to correct me. believe me virgin have the IP's of all the cs servers as they simply connected these boxes to their intended targets and record the data on a regular basis to monitor the situation.

boxes dont have talk back but they have a record of all your internet activity if you are using their bb, regardless of VPN's etc.

I would never consider getting vermins bb and then connecting the kv/sv to their network...your enviting trouble then....its much safer to get bb from different provider.

as for boxes talking to network....i was trying to compare an original subed box from vermin which has a talk balk option on them and the kv/sv boxes either dont have that option or they are disabled.

So wot they gonna do, prosecute each and every person they find using illegal equipment? Can't see why they'd go to the trouble as it seems like they'd be cutting off their nose to spite their face. No it makes more sense for them to locate and dispose of the servers.

we've heard this story sooo many times before..
IF vermin suspect you of using unsubbed box, they will write and tell you, they will then try and arrange date to check equipment and/or monitor line for a while. they then MAY cut you off.. but NEVER without warning

Virgin are having a national cleanup of all cabins. So they are cutting off all people who arnt subsribed to any package. Imo, Its just scare mongering, your safe as long as you got atleast a basic sub. IMO ofcorse.

yes and if any vermin ppl come knocking on your door you just don't let them in, because they have no right to step in your property without your permission, unless they turn up with the police and a warrant but i doubt that will happen.

I can tell you where i am alot of the ppl working for Vermin also sell the KV and sat boxes on the side. My friend even got 20 meg bb whilst only paying for 10 coz his neighbour works for Vermin and he sorted him out illegally

most ppl would think that would be the 1st thing vm would do but in actual fact vm are constantly manuplating channel frequencies, switching transponders and broadband signals to interfere with the whole server client scenario causing glitching, channel corruption etc. in hope that you will get sick of the scenario. as many ppl have already and dispose of your kv/sv with an upgrade to tv package and if you dont 85% of you are stuck with their bb contract anyways!!
