thank you but no luck
I have a new wireless router and am no longer using the virgin modem to which the coaxial cable connected. The new wireless router uses the BT infrastructure (socket on the wall), however, the coaxial that connects to the tv remains the same, the tv set up uses powerplugs to access the wireless router, do i need to reset the powerplugs to connect to the new router?Comment

I haven't had a virgin tv sub for quite some time, but the KV box used to work connected to the coaxial from outside, the only change made is BB & phone supplier from virgin to Plusnet/BTComment

no need to configure ip setting on kv as it will automatically get ip settings, as long as all settings are correct on your Router/Powerplugs. you may need to change the encryption on your powerplugs via your pc, to those current encryption ie wep/wpa on your plusnet router.Comment

Thank you all so very much for all your help
1. reconfigured the encryption on the power plugs
2. powercycled the plugs
3. connected to the wireless network
