Can anyone help i got the required cable ,uploaded the loader and software but when trying to upload on the box A780 box it just keeps coming up in a new dialog window "the download is not requested"

i tried re-installing all the software from different sources but still the same...
Am i doing some basic thing wrong???

press download wait a few seconds then turn the kv on

make sure the kv is turned off before u request the download, then turn it on from the back of the box

Im still having problems with this intial loading of the software to the kv box..its not allowing me to upload ...still the same message is being displayed..i have also tried flashing the box and i've got all the channels but all are not being displayed..just FTA channels which are viewble and the rest are in displayed in BLUE and the message displayed is Scrambled or no video.. hope someone can help...its driving me daft now ????

box has to be flashed first for box to work,what setup are you using,pc vista or usb?

yes ive tried leaving the router and modem off for a long period of time then switching on but still the same??

Are you using the correct COM port for the USB adapter, they often get installed as COM8, you can change it to COM3 or COM4 from Windows device manager

"download not requested" is a cable or com port issue.

You need a "null modem" cable the "RS232 serial" is identical
to look at but won't work.

But lets assume you have got the right one

First, if you need to use your USB converter lead, find a driver the "prolific" driver usually work

Then find the com port number you are using on your computer.

Go into device manager on your computer look up properties on the com port you are using and change
the baud rate (bits per sec) to 115200

then wire up the box and computer and use loader
to load firmware.

note the USB convertor lead don't normally give a very good connection
I had to give mine a couple of wiggles where it connects to the null modem cable to get it to work. It is better if you can plug the null modem straight between box and computer but on newer computers you will need the USB convertor lead.

the firmware should be 24/04/2011
make sure you are flashing with A780 firmware
and not A750 as they both have the same date and it will be fine.

best way for flashing kv boxes is with null modem cable and pc with xp,so simple any of your friends got one?current firmware is 24042011.

I flashed it with the latest firmware in the download section and then updated from the menu to their latest image

Well a big thank you for all your help i eventually got to the bottom of the problem..i had a faulty cable...exchanged the cable and hey presto JOB DONE !!!

Im now experiencing some channel losses ....again the message on screen is displaying " Scrambled or no video "

Any idea why this appears but on other channels works fine??
