box has to be flashed and updated first before you can go further,other than that you could scan and use it as a fta box for the moment.

thanks! when i go there i get invalid file and then another page comes up with the f/w that I have already got 24042011... is there a different one I am looking for? sorry

you did not read it all ,as on post 4.

when box is connected up to tv and before you scan the firmware needs updating online first.

menu-installation s/w update dont touch anything while it loads and box reboots internet lan is how it updates.

Sorry I know I am technology challenged ... i did all what you said... I had box connected to tv and connected to lan, ran software update on box via menu.. it updated and then went back to easy installation page. done the automatic search from here and still no channels. I can thank you enough for your help and apologise for being dumb ass! .. thanks!

do you have coaxial connected from main feed,that is important and remove lan, you are not scanning correct provider,maybe try another,and you do have a vm live feed yes?
