m8 mines glitchy as hell on some channels is there somthing i am not doing right ihave updated to latest s/w done fac def without splitter networkscan re booted router switched box off at back for 1 min yet still very glitchey on sly 2 kerrang history challange etc any help well appreciated thanxComment

If everything works ok already then no, its not necessary to update. Generally people should NOT firmware update unless they are specifically told to (in this case by KV) or they are having a problem which the particular update is designed to fix.Comment

If its better then its because you were affected by a problem the update was designed to fix. If you didn't have the problem then its unlikely the new update will make any difference.
At this time, there does not appear to be any server change so this firmware is unlikely to be anything concerned with servers. There does seem to been some upstream system changes but nothing that requires box firmware changes.Comment

you will need to flash it with a null modem cable and firmware first,use the 24042011 for kv780 in downloads above
