    Problems Getting kryptview box running

can someone give me some guidance on getting this new update, i have got the same symptons where it keeps getting stuck on s/w update from the menu. I have rebooted, factory reset loads of times, rescanned trying different network id's all with no luck (north london is my location). I am using homeplugs for the LAN connection is this the issue with getting the update? it has been fine up until the recent issues . I have not reflashed the box yet, is this something i need to do first ? I only get the freeview channels at the moment and loads of people seem to be up and running.

its been a good week now i have been struggling with the update.

Update isn't going to make any difference to your service, if your not getting any it may be your connection.Have you got a valid sub with VM?

The update was apparently to fix a very specific problem only which does not appear to be your problem.

The NetID you use when scanning should be the one that your subbed box uses. Using any other will NOT get you anything more or different as only the transducers described in your particular NetID descriptions will be active in your area. Thats the whole point of the NetID structure. Using anything else will potentially give your box incorrect information forcing it to look for channels in places they dont exist (thus it wont find them).

I'm presuming, when you say all you get is freeview, that you actually find the other chanels but just cant decode them. In that case there is something wrong with your internet setup and the box does not have proper access. That would also tie in with you being unable to do an online update - the box simply cant connect. I would suspect your homeplugs aren't properly setup. Try connecting a PC via the homeplug and see what happens.

maybe box modem and router need to be powered off for 30 secs then on to gain an ip addy, its a common thing people dont do.

Have you tried using the box without the homeplugs? They may be at fault
