Hey guys,
I just received my box today and I'm looking for help downloading the correct software. I have files in an e-mail but my pc doesn't recognise the file type

you need to open the kv loader and put the bin file in there

u also need winrar to extract the file after download

thanks guys, I've done that now and hooked the box up to the tv and its just goin through channel numbers! I've tried the stanby button etc but its not respondong. Any ideas?

once u have the box connected to your tv, do a factory default, then intalation make sure u have the right area code aswell scan without the lan cable in and leave to update then put in lan cable and try it then

How do I do a factory default? When its connect to the TV nothing shows on screen, its just the view window on the box that I see the numbers goin to 200+. aaaaarrrrgh thanks for you help, you're a star

remote control - menu - installation - factory default, leave it to reboot, then intstallation

But I cant get any picture or anything on my TV screen and its defo connected properly. Can I reset the box some other way? This is driving me mad!

too many threads ,what firmware did you use and dont say the right one and double check the file you downloaded also
as 750 and 780 are different files for different boxes.

I used Kryptview_A780_09092010. It was a file a friend sent me, it's the one they were using.

if they were using that their box does not work also ,no 2010 file works it has to be a jan or april file from 2011 to use then do a s/w update [ its an online update to latest firmware ]

But I can't do the update while the box is running through the channels. Do you know how I can stop that?

you cant update with that firmware as you need to update on pc with null modem cable first ,press exit or off and hook up to pc to flash first and when box reboots,remove from pc.hook upto tv and lan connected then do a s/w update and dont touch anything while it is updating and box reboots when finished,factory reset to clear old data and scan from direct feed no splitters and lan removed,insert lan when all channels are loaded and you may have to power off at rear box modem and router for 30 secs then on to gain an ip addy.

OK I've done what was said in previouas post but when I try to s/w update it doesnt do anything, just says 'searching new update'
