Just Purchased A Kryptview A780 where on earth do i start!

Hi All, first off i would like to thank all for your help in advance,
    and second of all

I have been out of the cable scene ever since the first cable and wireless boxes were out and i have just purchased a new kryptview a780 from dc receivers.

This is a lucky dip for me as i have no idea on how to setup this box.

I have placed an order and would like to no if anybody could direct me to a full tutorial on how to hook up and view x amount of channels !!

I currently have a live virgin media cable connection, home broadband from another provider and also a Macbook Pro running windows xp/osx if required.

What would the setup instructions conclude off?

Do i need to load up a certain firmware etc or is it a simple plug and play solution.

    Thanks Guy

      Setup !

Hi there , you also need a router of some sort and a Null Modem cable for putting firmware onto the Box . There are also updates online that you can use via the menu of the box once it is setup and running ! Just follow the extensive stickies on this subject and bobs your uncle ok m8 .

Don't know if you've seen this, but here is a very good video guide to help you set it up quickly.

You should really do the research before you purchase. Impulse purchases without knowledge often end up being regretted.

Prehaps you should have started with buying a Sat dish and Blade 7000.... Just saying!

Im glad I gave up my Krytpview a long time back.

I think really you are missing your KV a little now they're running smooth again.

Why else would you return to the Kryptview section to make comment.
