Kryptview box not working. tv screen blank, not reacting

    can someone please help.

    recently purchased the kryptview a780,
after some trouble downloading, we finally got to download the firmware 'successfully.

after this, the channels on the box seems to be going up very quickly, but would react to the tv remote.

we've tried turning the box on an off again and tried turning the broadband of an on.

now, however the kv box just says 'on', and the tv screen in black.

again it doesnt react to the remopte control nor when we press the buttons on the actual box.

i have looked at previous threads and have had no luck in finding an answer

any help is greatly appreciated, as this was a christmas present for someone and i'd really like to sort it for him.

    thank you in advance!

Possibly a corrupted flash. Try to reflash the firmware to the box. Once the box is flashed make sure you do a full factory reset from the menu.

the reason it says " ON " and no av output is because you have loaded an old sowtware the chipset was changed about 16 months ago so you need to load software from last august or newer and then do a lan update to download latest software ,the jan software is on this forum then update via lan and you will be ok

        hey guys thanks

im obvsiously a bit of a dope at this stuff

we have a bit of a new prob now tho, dont know if its linked.

we have the tv on, and have restored it to factory setting, however when we try and do 'automatic search'

        no id is found.

        it says it 'already exists'.

        ?

i presume you have your vm feed plugged in and are scanning correct provider, also check in menu-system info and tell us what firmware is on box as it should be after the 24042011 date.
