ALL OFF AGAIN. IS THERE A BETER WAY, SAT MAYBE?

Hi all. Im up in Middllesbrough and mine went off last night at about 10.30 ish. Its been a bit on and off lately but when it has been off it has only been off for 10 to 20 mins or so. Im not sure if it is my internet connection sometimes though, or whether it is my box. Is there a better option apart from paying vermin or sky more per month than my mortgage was when I bought my first house, albeit it was back in 1979. I am a bit of a technophobe when it comes to computers and the like so the easier the better. Its not really the tv I miss, more like the feeling of getting one over. Any info on a different box or system would be greatly appreciated.

when will everyone relise that this is supposed to be a hobby with channels opening+closing all the time. if anyone wants stable viewing 24/7/365 then get a official sub to S*Y or another foriegn broadcaster. i remember when i was over the moon with my luxcrypt decoder which gave me rtl4/5, sbs6 and veronica. regards mdt

I have had almost 2 years out of mine and am really happy with it even if it never comes on again. I just thought, no point in sitting here not knowing if anyone else was having the same problem or not. As for asking about other options. Well why not ask when there are people on here who are obviously a lot better informed than me. If anyone on here has a plumbing/gas problem then I would be only too happy to help having been a qualified gas service enineer since 1979.

it looks like many of people did not update their box in dec 11 and that has now stopped and boxes went off today, updating and reset/rescan and back to normal, remember to scan from strongest feed.

                  I agree with mdt.
whatever you get is a freebie, so it comes and goes, live with that minor prob.
Just overjoyed that I now get the F1 channel for nothing.
Yes, there is always gonna be the odd glitch. But i am just so grateful that someone has taken the time and trouble to ruffle Murdoch and Bransons feathers a bit.
